This project is a massive mixed-use redevelopment of the Oakridge Mall located at Vancouver. I was involved in 3 major components of this project: Oakridge Mall, Office, Civic Center & Social Housing. The Living City, that connects human with nature is the recurring theme of this project.

I participated in the DP stage for Oakridge Mall, and was involved in preparing DD set and detail design and was responsible for BIM Model Management. The Living Room and Media Mixing Chamber are two major event spaces that connect the mall with the city park on the roof. Both spaces provide flexibility for various functions, such as pop-up event, exhibition and concert. The spaces resonates with the recurring nature theme by using natural material like wood and terrazo, and generous indoor landscape features.

For the office portion, I have contributed on the initial design concept, test-fits and interior details for design development. The office entrance creates nature connections by use of natural materials. Meanwhile, the elevator lobby and office corridor added an oriental, impermanental twist, with the use of processed natural materials, such as ridged marble tiles and backlit shoji paper screen at the elevator lobby.

I participated in the BP stage for Civic Center & Social Housing, was mainly involved construction documentation for tender, structural coordination, core & stair coordination, assists in facade & landscape coordination.
