This is a design-build proposal for Okanagan College, Salmon Arm campus. It is a 4-storey mass-timber student residence with BC step code 3 requirement.

The proposed building book ends the campus' northern edge and forms a new L-shaped social commons with the existing campus. The exterior facade utilizes corrugated steel cladding in responds to respond to the palette and fenestration of the existing campus building to the south. The deep profile of the cladding creates variations of light and shadow throughout the day and captures the energetic nature of the Okanagan sun. Meanwhile, the color of horizontal spandrels take reference to the Similkameen Ochre.
