Through the Rye is a community farming pavilion inspired by the surrounding scenic landscape. Our team imagines a structure that coexists in harmony with nature: a multifunctional pavilion that formally captures the simplicity and exuberance of the rye field. The pavilion is divided into two sections: the gallery and the multipurpose stage. Various programmatic configurations can be achieved by the integrated height-adjustable benches. To promote sustainability, the team opted for an assembly based on the use of reclaimed, small-profile glulam members to shorten the construction time and reduce the environmental impact. This project was realized on the same year.
